NSE BEST and WORST STOCKS OF 2015
In the past
three quarters of this year, the market performance has been on a decline,
reflecting the pre and post general elections economic reality of the nation.
As at the end of September, which ushers in the fourth quarter of the year, the
NSEASI has remained in the negative territory with 9.92 percent on year to
date, with 27 stocks in the green while more than 90 equities suffered price
declined.
As shown on
the table below, the healthcare sector led with PFZER Products topped the
advancers table with year to date gain of 78.21 percent. BETA Glass ranks
second with a gain of 53.71 percent, while Vitafoam, University Press and NPF
Microfinance Bank were among the top five advancers.
On the flip
side, the biggest decliner is from the healthcare sector, Evans Medical, which
suffered a loss of 69.3 percent to top the table. Northern Nigerian Flourmills
ranks second on the losers table with 47.55 percent, while Academy Press,
Nigerian Flourmills and Dangote Flourmills were among the five top losers with more
than 40 percent decline. Consumer Goods dominated the top 10 losers on the
table.
