In 2019, surround yourself with people who will inspire you, who will make you feel you can do better, who will challenge you on.  *3. In 2019, Check your dressing or appearance*. How To Plan and Reduce Your Risk in 2019?

"By failing to plan then you are planning to fail". Yesterday, I was checking my outstanding goals for this year and I realized that I still have a lot to accomplish. Sincerely speaking, I didn't  achieve much this last year and some of my colleagues that I asked also didn't achieve their goals too year. How many times have you said to yourself, if only this had happened, or, if only I had done this or that, things would be different? The fact remains the same ... If you keep doing what you've been doing—you will get what you've always gotten which is why using last year's investment knowledge to make decision and expecting a different result is a DAYLIGHT DREAM Research has shown that most people spend their whole lives abandoning their dreams and pay attention to Social media, TV,  Sport bet, Ponzi Schemes or stuck on a point without making progress toward their goals. Profit Taking, Volatility Ahead, Amidst Bargain Hunting, Year-end Portfolio Repositioning

Market Update for December 24 Nigeria stock market had a big reversal at Monday’s session, with the benchmark All-Share index regaining all it had lost in the previous 23 days on a huge volume traded and strong market breadth that seemed to announce the arrival of long awaited Santa Claus rally. This seasonal movement at the end of the year has become a pattern that historically helps the month of December to end on a positive note over the past four consecutive years. Such knee-jerk movement, according to Investdata Research has come, particularly as we saw on Monday, December 24, 2018, come on the strength of increased activities of institutional investors, among others, taking advantage of persisting low prices to reposition their portfolios, while targeting blue chip stocks ahead of the 2018 full year earnings reporting season in Q1 2019. The composite NSEASI opened with a gap up early in the morning, making new highs during the entire session, climbing from 30,773.64 bas

Profit Taking, Volatility May Persist Amidst Year-end Portfolio Realignment, Bargain Hunting

Market Update for December 27 It was yet another volatile session on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday, laced with profit booking, as the benchmark indexes closed lower on mixed sentiments ahead of year-end window dressing by fund managers and others. This oscillating trend is likely to continue, going into the New Year, as economic fundamentals become weaker, just as oil price trades below the Federal Government’s 2018 and 2019 budget benchmark. The Federal Government has retained its 2018 oil benchmark price of $60 per barrel for 2019, a level considered over ambitious, at a time Iran, with four times of Nigeria’s reserves and almost twice of its capacity has set a benchmark of $54pb. Also not helping matters is that with less than 50 days to the Presidential Election scheduled for February 16, 2019, the blame game over the sorry state of the nation and indeed the economy has become even more intense. Unbridled attack on personality has remained the campaign strategy o

Profit Taking, Sustained Volatility, Amidst Year-end Bargain Hunting, Portfolio Rebalancing

Image
Market Update for December 20 Trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange remained very volatile on Thursday, reversing previous day’s negative position, while swinging between north and south to reflect market sentiments and investor perception of the economy and its managers. The market resisted further decline month to date as its strong support level stood at 30,500 on the strength of relative improvements in economic activities since the beginning of this last quarter of the year. Portfolio repositioning however continues , while investors keep their gaze on the political environment as things become clearer and decisions being made based on the campaign styles of major parties and their flag bearers. Nigerians are also digesting and assessing the various economic blueprints the presidential candidates, given that the economy is the wheel that drives progress, development and wealth creation. Football is football and talent is talent. But the mindset of your team makes all the difference... Robert Griffin Before I go on regarding the current type of mindset you should possess in other to get the best out of 2019. But, what truly is mindset? According to B. F. Skinner Thoughts are behaviors we haven’t learned to observe yet. Hence, it can be said that Mindset is a way of thinking. In a word, a mental inclination or disposition, or a frame of mind because  Your mindset is your collection of thoughts and beliefs that shape your thought habits. However, I understand that you might be wondering what does 2019 market plans have to do with mindset. It is everything because your worldview or ways of thinking will determine the way approach things in the market. Although, I have been receiving a lot of calls on Stock market and from most of the questions asked, it boils down to the type of mindset they have. In other to survive and win in the stock market 2019, you ne

Access, Diamond Banks Get CBN ‘No-Objection’ For Merger, Write SEC, Pencom

Image
The managements of Access Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc, on Wednesday said they have received a “no-objection” letter from their primary regulator- the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to continue with their ongoing merger. Addressing a joint press conference at the Access Bank head office in Lagos, Herbert Wigwe and Uzoma Dozie, chief executives of Access and Diamond Bank respectively, assured that the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC Nigeria), National Pension Commission (Diamond Bank owns a Pension Fund Custodian), as well as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) have been officially informed of the development. The business combination, Wigwe noted, will be concluded before the end of June 2019, and that Access Bank has created enough buffer by way of capital to pull through without needing fresh capital injection. Both banks, on Monday announced the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) that will result in the combination of the separate entities, with Acces

NGSE Indicators React To Presentation Of Lower 2019 Budget, Slump After Initial Rise

Market Update for December 19 Midweek’s trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed lower on negative sentiments and lower traded volume, joining the global markets bearish outing for the day as another hike in U.S rate further depressed investor confidence and worsened their fears. This is happening in the midst of declining 10-year treasury yields; high corporate borrowing and spending that will impact negatively on the economy and corporate earnings. Emerging markets’ broadest index, the MSCI suffered a decline due to the U.S Feds announcement of the rate hike, which is expected to sustain volatility in global stock markets that will at the same time create opportunities to target blue chip stocks at a greater discount before the expected rebound in the nearest future. Trading on the NSE started out on the upside in the morning to mid-morning, but after presentation of the N8.83tr 2019 budget, which is lower than N9.12tr of 2018, by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Nation

Volatility Still, Amidst Bargain Hunting, Portfolio Repositioning For Year-end

Image
Market Update for December 18 Nigerian Stock market had a very interesting session on Tuesday, reversing previous day’s negative sentiments on a high traded volume and positive market breadth to closed higher. Trading for the day started off with a slide to the downside in the morning session, before rebounding in the mid-morning on very strong rally that was sustained till the end of the day, following which it recovered all of it losses in the last four sessions. The session closed with the NSE All-Share index chalking 205.13 basis points at 30,814.19bps, a sign that strength is returning to the market and may usher in last minutes Santa Claus rally that the market had long expected. It may however be for a very short time because positive news and numbers have not so far impacted on the market and prices for long due to the prolonged downtrend. However, the NSE index on four-wave decline extended as it took the index from intraday lows of 30,606.83bps, to a high

Reversal Imminent On NGSE, As Benchmark Indicators Resist Further Decline

Image
Market Update for December 17 The Nigerian stock market on Monday had a continuation of its volatility but closed lower to start the week on a bearish note and high selling pressure that was witnessed in four sectors, except for Consumer Goods that emerged the lone gainer for the session. The session started off lower and on a negative market breadth further indicating doubt on the expected Santa Claus rally as market technicals remained negative at the beginning of the last full trading week before the Christmas festivities. However, it is a function of market forces that determine what happens between now and then as fund managers and market players position for year end. Also, the expected move by some listed companies to close the year higher may impact positively on prices that are already low. The benchmark index opened for the week gapping up early in the morning till mid-morning, before pulling back on selloffs to extend the four-wave decline, before taking the inde

THE PATHWAY TO SUCCESS

This is the Only thing that will help you Stand Out in 2019. The path to success is to take massive, determined action. However, there is a missing piece in all of what I have been teaching. It is very crucial and important. If you did not attend my seminar or you are yet to take action Regarding the Invest 2019 Investors and Traders Summit then it is because this simple reason. This is not about technical analysis, stock Modelling, this is not about impact of government policies or foreign investments. In fact, this last piece is not related to them. The last piece is Just Get it done Yes, action according to Oxford Dictionary, the fact or process of doing something, typically to achieve an aim. On a personal note, action Never push what you intend to do today to what you can do tomorrow. Furthermore, what differentiates you who have acquired all the knowledge and can't practice it from a novice or rockie(someone who has no knowledge) is action which is a direct resu
